He was born in Chicago, so I don't know if I would really refer to him as Nigerian. That would be like calling me Filipino or British... but at any rate.

He has spoken out for marriage equality before back in 2009. Great guy!

Addendum: I see you took Nigerian out of the title. Cheers. icon_smile.gif

Damn he's hot. I'm glad he's speaking out about this. I hope he'll be able to reach the Maryland voters who are not so inclined about marriage equality. Even if gay marriage does pass and Governor O'Malley signs it into law, which he said he will do, some legislatures have threatened to have it come up for a vote on the 2012 ballot. If I'm remembering this correctly, the majority of Maryland residents support marriage equality, but by a slim margin.

No doubt that a lot of money will be poured into this, much like Prop 8.

Thank you for saying that. You are 100 percent correct.

I like how he is quoted as saying it's a matter of fairness...love and commitment.

    Very cool.

    Very impressive.

And his support of gay marriage is a nice thing, too.

This is outstanding news and valid proof that not all NFL football players are narrow-minded homophobes. Hopefully more NFL stars will join this man in his strong support for marriage equality not only in Maryland but throughout the US.
