The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man..Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

Enjoy everyday you have, as it is a gift. The earthquake, and tsunami are yet another example to practice more compassion for one another as tomorrow is not guaranteed for anyone.

I agree. We all can be guilty of being caught up in our own lives. If an honest effort is made to be just a little compassionate, it could change someone's day/life for the better.

I agree but, the compassion is only a sign of what runs so much deeper. Kids these days don't realize they or rather WE have been here before. We are meant to know why that is and I am having a hard time trying to tell the reason's why because I have A WHOLE DIFFERENT life to live besides this one. The spirit is TRUE, the laws of love are TRUE. JUST REALIZE eternity is True as well and we are students learning History as History never changed. You are back here (pisses me off but WE) are back here learning the same damn lesson over again. I am sick of this world... I want to move on.

Best comment for a long time. Thank you for sharing.

This forum does have its moments. ( Sometimes drowned between Rate the Guy Above You and Is the Guy Above You A Top or Bottom?)
