It depends on what your goals are: to lose fat or to gain muscle mass. I personally incorporate a spinach and kale smoothie into my diet when I'm looking to tone up before a show. I throw some ice, a banana, a little honey, spinach leaves, both red and curly kale, and a splash of orange juice into a blender. Increasing fiber is important too. The best diets are the well-rounded ones, but for more advice I would suggest setting up an appointment with a nutritionist.

cut out simple carbs like white sugar, white flour, cookies and go for whole grains. Add a variety of veggies.. eat fruit but some have a high sugar content if you want to watch your weight. and consume protein like very, very lean cuts of meat, chicken... and eat fish.

Change Things Up – Boredom is by far one of the biggest predictors of loss in motivation. So whether it’s in your exercise routine or in your diet plan, make sure you throw in some variety on a regular basis. Even something as simple as giving yourself options each day can help prevent boredom.
