"Cost Saving Days"

    ...otherwise known as a FURLOUGH DAY....a forced, unpaid day off from work.

    Today is my last one this contract..... only costs me several hundred $$$ today... was forced to take 10 days per contract year......anyone else forced to take furlough days?...and this is BEFORE our UNION IS BUSTED by the State of Ohio....can hardly wait! icon_rolleyes.gif

    Sort of... when the state controlled one of my contracts, I was forced into a union "benefits" package. The "cost" of the package was deducted from my fixed payroll budget. So I had to work about four months a year without pay. Of course, at the end of the contract, I wasn't "vested" so all the money just vanished into the union slush fund.
    And I didn't ever actually get a "day off."
