I had a myspace account back in the day but I deleted it. Recently I've made a new one for the sake of it. Does anyone eve use it nowadays? Or is everyone on Facebook now?

A lot of people left Myspace after Ruper Murdoch purchased it. I know I did.

I never go on myspace anymore except sometimes when I am directed there through a search for a musical artist or band. It seems like it is becoming a music site instead of a social networking site.

I still have one. I have a lot of blogs that I need to still transfer to my computer. I've had one of those since before FB was open to the public.

exactly why i thought myspace was so much funner. it had sounds and personalization, and you could click and copy peoples videos, learn what they liked and were up to ALL on that first page.

though i don't use myspace anymore, i don't see the point of deleting it; in fact, it's kind of a cool time capsule entry. I was the LAST person to get a myspace account, and I'm sure I'll be last on facebook. I only started it to read a friend's writings, and subsequently ended up bloggin poetry, some of it Only existing on those blogs. as a writer, those feelings, fleeting as they may have been are precious and great learning tools.

It's funny how the people that remember facebook from when it was exclusive for the Academically Inclined always treat it like it has so much more substance. (Farmville?! C'MON!) to me, it always just seemed more bland.

P.S. That commercial about putting facebook feeds in automobiles? Fuckin end of the world is nearer than i thought...

I have a few friends still on it, but they use it to promote their bands. I have an account there that I cannot delete because I don't have the original email address I signed up with anymore; that email account is gone. I've tried getting around it and emailing for support, but I'm told I have to confirm deletion through my non-existing email address. *sigh*

I like that Facebook is a lot cleaner. I only show a few people in my news feed, can choose to ignore games and applications when they come up, and don't have to be bombarded with someone's shitty music on a when I go to leave them a message.

As for getting a facebook feed in your car, what's wrong with that? I get a feed on my phone, and use my phone in my car. I don't read my facebook feed or texts while I'm actively driving or anything, but I do use my phone to make calls, navigate, text (I have text-to-speech and speech-to-text that read and write my text messages for me... sometimes it actually gets all my words right too), etc. while I drive. I have definitely found it useful to look in my facebook inbox to grab an address. News feed though? Eh, probably not.

I think it started out as a music site for indie bands to connect with their fans, and is sliding back to that. You can actually listen to a whole lot of music on there for free if you dig around. But I don't look at it for much else because nobody I was "friends" with on there updates it anymore.

I remember hearing that there was a class distinction between facebook and myspace. If you went to college you had facebook, if you didn't you went on myspace.
That was a few years ago.
Since then, facebook has all but taken over myspace.

Today myspace is like a relic from a bygone era. It's like having AOL or CompuServe today.
