So I can't decide which school to attend SDSU, SJSU or SFSU. Ive been accepted to all as a Geography major. I love SJSU because its very peaceful and not crowded, and a good geography department. SFSU well Im a bay area native so it would be fun since I know the atmosphere and they have an OK Geography department..... however SDSU has the best one in all the state, but its so far away frm home and Ive never been there since I was 10yrs old. SO I've decided to go check out SDSU and San Diego from March 28 - 30. Even though im going for a campus tour, I would love to hang out somewhere at nite time! so whats there to do in San Diego? or does anyone wanna give me a tour of the city????

any advice.... I know lost college student

Mon thru Wed is kind of an odd time to visit, too bad you wont be here thru the weekend. Check out Balboa Park while your here, nice outdoorsy area with lots of grass and boys working out/jogging in the afternoon. Its just down the street from Hillcrest (San Diegos gay neighborhood) where you will find most of the gay clubs and bars, and right across the freeway from the world famous San Diego zoo. Lots of museums and stuff too right on the other side of the park, plus it runs right alongside 6th st on the way into downtown if you want to go down there to see what that area is like.

As far as the bars and clubs go.. Rich's is your younger teeny bopper kinda crowd (I haven't gone here in a while lol.. everyone always appears to be in a daze in that place), pecs for bears and musclemen, Eagle is San Diegos leatherbar, Urban Mo's for food and drinks in a very crowded social type setting. But if you prefer something quieter where you can talk with people around you at the bar I like Baja Bettys (1401 University Ave) Some of the nicest and hottest bartenders around, they always welcome me and they make great drinks at great happy hour prices.

I'd love to show ya around but unfortunately im already giving a tour that week to my sister from out of town XD Hope you have a nice visit though.

P.S. Definitely SDSU all the way, top notch school and awesome weather almost year round. SF is probably my second choice because the atmosphere up there is so different from down here in SD. Which can sometimes be nice.. but too dreary/cold for my taste icon_razz.gif

San Diego is a nice town, and SDSU is a fun campus. It's true that SDSU has a very good geography program. A friend of mine earned his MS in Geography there. You probably can't go wrong with the SDSU geography program. It also doesn't hurt that there are a lot of insanely hot guys at SDSU -- probably more than a typical university because it is, afternall, San Diego.

You shouldn't worry about going far for school. I suggest that it is best to get away from one's family and childhood friends when one goes to college. You'll grow much more as an individual when you're far away, on your own.
