    I wanna know...

    What are your favourite memories?
Do you have any perfect memories that stand out in your mind?

They can be about past relationships, friends, family, time spent alone, time with random strangers, whatever. I just want to hear your sappy beautiful memories. <3

The memories that inspired this thread:

I realized that my favourite memories of any of my relationships are the days we lay in bed all day except for obvious reasons (eating etc.) and just watched movies or played video games. Oh and snuggled of course. <3

I also found myself missing home the other day; I was thinking about movie nights with my mom, and I would snuggle my cat on the couch. I miss it so much. icon_sad.gif

If we go even further back, I miss going on roadtrips and camping with my dad. I remember when we visited an aunt and uncle of mine that lived on a huge farm. There was nothing around as far as the eye could see, just the road and fields/forest. I even remember how beautiful the house was. I have a distinct memory of sitting on top of the car, through the sunroof, when it was parked in the front yard because it meant I could play my music through the car speakers and hear it.

wahhh i don't wanna grow up

Yesterday my Dad, my sister, my niece, and I went fishing. It was great teaching my niece how to cast her line while my sister and Dad drank beer.

Then we got stuck in the cornfield as I pranced around trying not to get dirty.

    This is the result:

Once I was on a packed bus in The Seychelles, the most beautiful Indian Ocean islands. Anyhoo, the folks there are of African decent I think and the bus was full. This older lady got on the bus, saw that there was no room to sit down so she literally picked up a little boy and took his seat. I remember thinking 'how rude'! But then as the bus started trotting along she sat him down on her lap and they sang songs and clapped their hands together until she got off at her stop. She clearly didn't know they boy, I thought it was so sweet.

My favorite memory, my family was dirt poor and we spent X-mas Eve with some family friends across town. When we got up in the morning we opened presents, my sister and I got a few each. We weren't expecting much and were happy with what we got.

During the night my parents had snuck home and buried the tree with presents, we walked in the door and there it was, we were so surprised, and young enough to still believe in Santa.. I was 6, she was 8.

    Best Christmas ever!

For me it was taking the chance to meet someone online, I flew to Boston and spent the week there. It was amazing.

Sight seeing, and seeing Marthas Vineyard. First time exploring beyond local areas.

Oh I have an RJ related one! The best 3 days of my life I spent with an RJ'er I met. It consequently screwed me up because I idealized this encounter to mean something more, which it didn't.

Thanks ;-P The purpose probably wasn't to get all sentimental and shit, but that's a great memory and I remember it like it happened yesterday.

I was dating a boy out in Oakville. Adnrew you know where i lived so you know how far that is.

And he was... gorgeous. It was summer and my paretns were gone. I was 17. He spent the two weeks with me.

One day he ahd to go home to help at a charity ball. That ngiht around midnight he called me that he might have dropped his wallet at the bus stop. So I went over and there he was. IN his rumpled tuxedo, under the streetlamp, with a wilted rose he took form a table. And he looked all sheepish as he grinned, and we kissed. And walked home hand in hand in the summer night, with no one there.

On days I don't think I'm worth it, I remember that.
