Partying and Working out

    So yesterday (Thursday) I did my usual workout but later in the night I attended a party. Suffice to say I drank without going over board and I danced on till I was ready to crash into bed.

    Didn't sleep much as I had work in the morning. No hanger over but definitely missed out on sleep. Plus kept myself hydrated throughout the day to prevent any loss of fluid.

    However... I feel my workout went to waste because of the partying and dancing.

    I only drink occasionally and love dancing but because I am on a regiment to gain mass, I regret and feel guilty about kicking back over drinks and music.


    Was already lectured by a buddy because obviously your body needs to flush out the toxins and in doing so the muscle building was diverted else where.



    Your views on Working Out and Partying is something that was on my mind today because of what I said above.I appreciate any thoughts on this matter.

    If you're going out 5 nights a week, I'd say you may have reason for concern. But an occasional night out isn't going to do much damage. I know several guys in great shape who go out a couple nights a week.
