Has anybody ever order hp instant ink for their hp photosmart all in one wireless printer online?Mine is 7520. What information do you need to buy them online and what are prices for their instant ink?
First, just to clarify, there is no "instant ink." It's liquid InkJet ink, as opposed to laser toner.
I also had a 7000-series All-in-One HP PhotoSmart printer. That I wore out from heavy use. And recently replaced with an HP PageWide Pro, intended for medium business-duty printing. Very nice.
The PhotoSmart is (or possibly was, not sure if still in production) a rather good printer. But one of its features is that it can detect the age of the ink cartridge in use, with electrical contacts to a small chip inside the cartridge. It gives error messages if you aren't using a fresh HP InkJet cartridge. That includes older ones that are out of date, refills, or non-HP products.
Therefore, buying sight-unseen from Amazon might cause this to happen. I suppose if Amazon advertises them as new, genuine HP and not refills you might be OK. I always preferred to buy from a local Office Depot or Staples store (until the latter closed in our area).
