Hey guys! I wanted to post a forum about love....GASP! Share your stories about how your heart was broken but then someone even better came along. Your knight in shinning armor.

Here is my story. I was in a relationship for 5 years before the guy I was dating decided that I was not up to his "level". Talk about a shocker. I did not see this coming at all and had my heart torn in front of my face. However, a year after being dumped by him a new guy came into my life and swept me off my feet. Even though things did not work out with the new guy, it did give me hope that my knight and shining armor is out there.

It was the heartbreak of my first relationship. I dated the guy for three years, since I was 17 till I was 20. Everything was as beautiful as any relationship could have been,my single and unhappily partnered friends seethed with apparent envy. We were the textbook gay couple. Well thats what everyone THOUGHT and so did I for awhile. I was a naive little git. That relationship ended when I made a surprise visit with some soup, he was supposedly too sick to go out. What I found was a raunchy threesome. That ended in flames.

My knight in shining armor, who I had recently broken up with (on mutual terms), turned out to be one of my reallly close friends. While I was this hodge podge of emotional pudding, this guy was THERE for me. Reflecting back on it, he was always there for me (and still is!), and it took a disastrous end to a relationship to make me realize it. Asked me out three months after the breakup, and I readily accepted. We dated for a year and a half, happiest days ever. My knight in shining armor however had to slay a couple dragons down under, aka his job wanted to relocate him to Australia. He was always a career oriented and ambitious sort of guy and I knew he wanted to take this offer. I wanted to stay in Miami. Besides, as great as we were with each other, our interests clashed many many times. Knowing all too well a LDR would not work, we broke up on civil terms. We still talk every week though!
