I have the Discovery News App on my iPhone and this video showed up in an article titled "Once upon a time, the universe was really wierd."

    Brilliant Explanation.

Carl Sagan was a prolific author in both the scientific and popular science worlds. His most important contribution was opening the minds of a generation to the wonders of science and our universe. These days, there are folks who do the same thing (e.g., Neil deGrasse Tyson and Michio Kaku), but I don't think they'll ever be able to fill his shoes. For fans of the Jodie Foster movie Contact, it was based on a book by Sagan. Unfortunately, the educational system in the United States is failing children such that many are not equipped to even consider pursuing advanced studies in mathematics and the physical sciences. The Wall Street Journal has a great series on this issue. This has implications for the economy as well as national security.

That's a cool remix. Interesting how the lines flowed together smoothly even though they were from so many different sources.

I've watched quite a few of Carl Sagan's lectures about the universe.
I've also watched many lectures by other great minds such as Stephen Hawking, Wallace Thorhill, Michio Kaku, and several others.
IMO, Carl Sagan just doesn't have the insight that the others have.
