crazycool saidwhen guys on this site unlock their pics for me, with no message or anything.....and you are randomly unlocking your pics for me cause......? you want me to just look at your pics and admire you? no hello, what's up? or any kind of intro? I don't get it people....so if anyone can clear this up for me, tell me....why do guys unlock their pics for another for no reason, with no message or intro as to who they are and why they want the other to randomly look at their no no pics?
Because if they stopped to write a message every time they unlocked, that would really slow the process down. And because the randomness is part of the reason.
I probably randomly unlock several times a day. To the extent that I put any thought into it when I do it, I'm usually either fishing for a counter-unlock -- which would be moot in your case, since you don't have private pics -- or doing it in combination with adding the guy to my hot list. (Adding guys to my hot list is itself a random gesture. When have I ever felt the need to consult, edit or maintain this list? Never. But I add to it faithfully.)
Randomness is part of what makes the Internet fun. Having some random guy in Moscow, Russia, show me his privates 30 seconds after some random guy in Moscow, Idaho ranks, in my mind, as one of the benefits of living in the 21st century.
But we all favor different types of randomness. I'd rather get a message from the Moscow guys saying they've randomly unlocked their private pics than one saying that they randomly want to know how my day is going.
Other people start forum threads about whatever random topic pops into their head; sometimes it leads to a good discussion, sometimes not. Others clearly get some kind of release out of randomly inserting lolcats into threads where they don't necessarily obviously belong. However we end up expressing it, the Internet gives us ways to embrace randomness on more or less our own terms.
Anyway, we've emailed before so I'm not sure if it was random when I unlocked for you, but no offense intended.
