I used to ascribe to super restriction. My face just ended up looking busted from starvation.

Absolutely nothing is off limits for me, but I don't have the chiseled alpha body you're referring to. I'm not miserable anymore, at least.

My biggest one is soda. I used to drink it all the time, with almost every meal. Now on the rare occasions I get one (like at the movies) it just ends up making me feel bloated, gassy, and just gross. I miss the cupcake store down the street too.

I haven't really given up anything except I dont eat dessert very often....

Poor me, I'll never go below 7% body fat (as I currently am @7%). haha. Whatever... silly to deprive yourself completely of amazing foods!

    Soda
    pizza
    potato chips
    white flour
    sugar
    potatoes
    beer
    etc.

The list is long. Basically, I'm allowed sex and water. And I still don't have the body I want. : (

I dont really focus on "what I gave up" because If i have to think about everything I 'cant eat" i will get depressed. Instead I focus on what I can eat, fruits( I love strawberries) , veggies ( i can eat broccoli for days) , grains and then when I do cheat, Its usually well deserved.

But speaking about our favorite foods. PASTA!!! specifically macaroni and cheese is my weakness.

Trying to avoid white flour and sugar, sweets and unhealthy fats. As a diabetic, I have to restrict my diet anyway.

But what I have come to love as a result of this is -- strawberries and blueberries, spinach in egg white omelets and for salads, salmon.

As for broccoli and non-fat cottage cheese -- necessary evils I put up with.

Nothing is off limits for me calorie-wise. I have the metabolism of a ferret on crack. However, I have had to do away with some favorites because of the potential of kidney stone formation. Top of the list: peanut butter. Kills me because there was a time I used to eat a whole jar of it in about three days.

But aren't those a part of the food pyramid??? The biggest part I think lol.

Do you not eat them because of the carbs?
