"VANITY" or Personalized license plates... What have you seen?

So I'm thinking of getting another personalized plate. I've had several over the years on my vehicles. When I was in law school I had "Law Kid" on my
license plates... a few years ago I used my initials on my car and on my truck.

But they've changed the rules here in Kansas on personalized plates. It used to be, each county could have the same plate names as any of the other 104 counties in the state.. we note differences in counties with the plates.. but now if someone else has the same plate anywhere in Kansas,
    you can't have it.

So I was running though the "plate search engine" to see what I could use and what was taken. Interestingly, mostly about exercise... GymJock, etc.. are available... "Invest" wasn't.. I figured as much. I'll come up with something. Then I was curious.. so I typed in "gay" (it was taken), "Homo" was taken... not that I would ever use those... but I laughed.. somebody is!

So what vanity names have you seen that got your attention?

I used to have this vanity plate on my camper trailer, and would unbolt it at a camp site and hang it from a torch light, as you see here. And those are my drag high heels dangling below it.

This torch, BTW, was a gift from the lesbian manager of the Fargo Lowe's home improvement store. All one big happy family... icon_biggrin.gif

I've never wanted one. I don't want to be that identifiable. Of all the silly things there was a kerfuffle here a year or so back when a woman wanted to buy her dad a plate with his name BUTCH. The license department refused saying it could be presumed to mean a slur again gay woman of all things. It took her well over a year and a few articles in the paper with plenty of people writing in about the stupidity of the dept..and they finally relented but by the time she received the plate her father had passed away.

My license plate has the numbers that were next in line. But I do have a bumper sticker that says "Real Men Still Wrestle." So if you see me, wave me over to the side of the road so we can talk about wrestling and making out. icon_wink.gif

Another story: when I got my 3rd motorcycle in North Dakota (I had 4 there), I wanted a license plate that said something gay. And surprisingly for a state with a very small population (under 650k, less than an NYC borough), they had an online service almost 10 years ago, where you could order your custom/vanity plate online, confirming the availability, and see a virtual image of how it would look, on one of dozens of different plate designs you could have.

So I'm doing all kinds of variations of "GAY" and it's letting me do that. My own initials were already taken, returning a "Not Available" error, but lots of things gay were.

But I was skeptical, so I phoned DMV at the State Capitol in Bismarck to double-check.

"Oh, no, we wouldn't allow that," said this sweetest elderly voice, that I imagined was some white-haired granny.

"But the online service didn't block it, like it does some swear words, and other objectionable things."

"Yes, but people might complain if they saw that on a plate, and we'd catch it here. You can't have that."

In the end, I got ZR-7, which was my motorcycle's model designation. And for my 4th bike, I got Bob 9, since my initials were still unavailable, and 9 is my birthday.

My pleasure, my love. And just keep in mind, there's a member here who keeps ragging me that I'm not a true homosexual like he is. Well if that's not fucking major gay, to openly display that in a public campsite, I don't know what the Hell is! icon_biggrin.gif

That's a personal favorite. I also love the Florida A55 RGY plate.

New York got new license plates last year and they look like this...

Not that great looking, right? I keep seeing one around where I live that reads UG1Y PL8. I chuckle whenever I see him.

When I lived in Maryland, I saw this plate a few times: 310HZZA
If you don't get it, look at it in a mirror.

In Germany, only the letters and numbers behind the city/county code can be customized. Luckily, my car is registered in Ansbach (AN), so I picked AN-DY 573.

If I ever register a car here in Bonn (BN) I was thinking about making it BN-GY 69 (if it's available.)
