I went last summer and saw Cher (not sure if she is still there). I wouldn't recommend it because she spends most of her time changing costumes and not singing on state.

Definitely go to the top of the Eifel Tower at night and watch the Mandalay Bay fountain show from up there. Pay the extra $8 buck for the VIP pass which will save you about 2 hours.

I've been going to see Vegas shows for years, and Cher was always my favourite. Then I saw Celine Dion's new show and guess what? New favourite! http://celinedioninvegas.com

In Las Vegas now. Got here yesterday. Went & saw Phantom of the Opera last night with a dinner package from vegas.com. Great dinner @ Venetian then seats 7 rows up from stage. Outstanding show. Would recommend it. I've been here before & the free shows are fun to see also. Treasure Island pirate battle street side, Bellagio water show, MGM lion.habitats, Mirage volcano eruption. All free to see. Others are Planet Hollywood indoors rainstorm and Wynn Lake of dreams. Most hotels are worth walking thru to see insides. Saw Freemont Street light show but was lame. All Kiss songs for about 5 - 10 minutes. But they had a zip line set up that looked fun for $20 or so. Might go back for that. Its also 90+ here so poolside is great. Have fun!

Edited upon return: Fun place, great weather. Hit the pool at Bellagio where friends were staying, great eye candy. Didn't make it back for the zip line. Went to Crave (gay dance club on the strip) and it was fun.

I highly recommend seeing La Reve if you haven't seen that one yet. Saw it again over New Year's and it was quite the production. Not to mention the performers themselves are works of art...for real.

I think my favourite Vegas stage show had to be Celine Dion. I’ve never heard a performer who can fill an entire concert hall with just the power of her voice – it’s really worth checking out. http://bit.ly/eDYthf

It's been almost two years since I last went so I don't know if the Cirque shows O and Zumanity are still there, but I saw them both and liked them - O especially. I'd recommend them. If you have the time and don't mind driving, touring the Hoover Dam can be a nice change of pace from Sin City.
