Progressive Coalition Supporter - March 26, 2011 at 12:24:46 I for one find Mr. Harper's anti-democratic stance on parliamentary coalitions disturbing. Candians would benefit from a "PC" government - a Progressive Coalition governmet, that is!

Bill macLeod - March 26, 2011 at 12:24:11 Iggy wants to use our tax dollars to build an NHL size arena for Quebec. ( I don,t think so Iggy)

Fed up - March 26, 2011 at 12:23:25 "Imagine a coalition of arch-centralists and Quebec sovereigntists trying to work together. The only thing they'll be able to agree on is to spend more money and to raise taxes to pay for it.'' Sounds like Stephen is upset they didn't side with him, like he was trying to get them to do, in order to pass the budget. The second sentence in addition to the first is just another example of "The Harper Government" (not the PC or Canadian government) being hypocritical and pompous. "Time for Change" is right!

Garth Staples - March 26, 2011 at 12:23:00 Four PEI Conservative MP'S after May 2nd.

(Note from UpperCanadian) - Garth Staples is a former conservative politician in PEI. Thus he signs his online comments with his real name.

Everett - March 26, 2011 at 12:19:56 May 2 for a election. Hopefully May 3 will be the last time we see Iggy and the puppet show. Steve Harper will send Iggy packing and if Jake wants he can go with Iggy. Those two are just a waste of air and as far as the Block. We as Canadians should have one more vote about them.

at 11:56 AM ETI applaud Ignatieff for giving a clear answer on his intentions for forming government and not entering into a coalition.

Harper on the other hand is a deceiver, pretending he didn't co-sponsor a letter to the Governor General in an attempt to create a coalition.

If there is a minority government, I trust Ignatieff would run a minority government that took respectful account of the views of the other members of the house who were also elected. I would expect the parties with less seats to attempt to negotiate for government policies that reflected their views. That's democracy.Rating
