Elizabeth Taylor has reportedly left the bulk of her $600 million fortune to AIDS charities.

The Hollywood veteran passed away on Wednesday after losing her long battle with congestive heart disease, sending the show business world into mourning.

Frequently praised for her role as an AIDS/HIV activist, the star has continued her good work by leaving a large portion of her wealth to her beloved charities, reports The New York Post.

According to Fox News, Taylor's famous jewellery collection will be auctioned off to benefit The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and amfAR, the AIDS charity she founded in 1985.

As of 2002, the collection had an estimated value of $150 million.

I think that sad considering she had a family that she created that should of come first, before anything else; children are not just for Christmas. From what one did read, they will contest that will.

But then the Gay plauge eara is also now over, and AIDS is more of a heterosexual plauge, effecting more women and children, than gay and bisexual men. So realty it's women and children her foundation supports.

It was very nice of her, and I hear where you are coming from. I hope she took care of her family too.

Very graceful and beautiful woman, the world lost a real treasure.

It is not for anyone to care what happens to HER estate or whom she felt deserved it, desîte TBA's posture as the arbiter of that which is good (and that repulsive favourite term of his) "pure." The public has itttle legitimate interest in the estate planning of individuals.
