So I've been needing to lean up a bit, and knowing that "a flat stomach is made in the kitchen" I'm wondering if you all have suggestions of some foods to buy that are cheap, convenient, and help in leaning up. I usually buy things like turkey, soy milk, almonds, spinach, and sweet potatoes. Any other items you all usually always have?

It's something a trainer once recommended to me. Not everyone likes em - and I'm not talking in the metaphorical sense either but pickles. They've got a ton of fibre (which reduces the effects of feeling hungry) and practically no calories. ie eating like a diabetic is also recommended.

Also, I found this video particularly interesting:

Something else I try to do is that even when I eat simple carbs, I try to make sure I eat them earlier in the day - I set an artificial timeline for myself of 4 pm because your metabolism is higher in the mornings (though yes I give in ate cinnamon melts at 2 am last night at McDonald's drenched in butter but it was totally worth it. icon_smile.gif )
