I don't understand why this word is offensive to people. I kind of like it. Thoughts?

In the show Dead Like Me the mother hates that word.
    It reminds her of porn.
It makes me think of cake, honestly.

Well ... not offensive, but more of a chuckle. Really! icon_redface.gif

Happenstance someone uses the word "wet spot" can cause perversive thinking in the same light.

    It's a play on words. icon_redface.gif

Nope nothing offends me, but I know a guy who doesn't like to say/hear the word moist or the word bush. So I bring up the idea of a moist bush on occasion to bug him icon_twisted.gif

It makes me think of Jerri Blank:

"I'm as moist as a snack cake down there, and I want to make your pinky all stinky."

It doesn't offend me but it grosses me out. I just don't care for it as a word even to describe cake. I never liked the word meal either so maybe I have issues with "m" words. icon_confused.gif

for some reason, a BUNCH of my friends (many of them female) hate the following words:

    moist

    panties

    pussy

    crusty.

SO i always say to them "did your moist pussy make your panties crusty??"

    they hate it.

    i'm a great friend.

You're onto something there Ivyjock because moist definitely conjures up vaginal images for me. Can't figure out why the word panties would upset women though. I mean, they wear them, that would be like us not liking the boxers or briefs.

Usually makes me think of frogs and moss. But now, I'm stuck on those old Duncan Hines commercials.
