How do you dream?

Something that has been on my mind lately is how other people dream. By this I mean are your dreams vivid or are they simple? Do you dream in black and white or in color?

My dreams are always in color and they can get pretty detailed.

    Thoughts?

Update:I was talking to one of my friends yesterday and he was telling me that he has a sex dream every other day. He and I are polar opposites when it comes to this. The farthest I ever got to a sex dream is something along the lines of a PG-13 movie. That always strikes me as odd for being 22 years old. Anyway, is it common for you to have one or do they rarely happen?

Not only in color but sometimes with end credits. Plus I can direct, control the plot and always know when I'm dreaming, except when I'm thinking how it'd make a brilliant screenplay when I wake up, lol. As I kid I thought this made me unique but then I found out there's a name for it - lucid dreaming. I suppose my dreams are therapeutic since I only dream when I need to assert more control in my life.

I have very, very vivid dreams which are never particularly strange, so I often wake up wondering if what I just "saw" really happened or not. When I was still in university it make me freak out about a few papers, I'll tell you that. I guess that makes me a lucid dreamer.

I have never dreamt in black and white.

When I was younger and could remember my dreams they were in color with sound and smells and very detailed. If I could have drawn at that time the pictures I would have made would strech the limits of imagination just like my dreams did. Now I don't remember my dreams anymore but know they are just as wild and creative as they used to be.

Whenever I dream something that seems like it has meaning, I consult dreammoods.com dictionary to figure out what it meant.

Sometimes it's a succession of dreams over a period of a few nights, which all lead to the same meaning.

PS. Use discretion when referencing that site. For example, dreams of flying are said to mean you feel like getting away. For me, as a career pilot, they have a completely different meaning when combined with other factors (usually being overworked, since I'm on call 24/7).

My dreams demonstrate my extreme ADD. They are constantly changing. I mean everything changes usually. The people in it, the scene, the plot, etc. I try to explain my dreams to people and they are always like "wtf that made no sense" haha.

My dreams are the same way. I've had the seasons change mid dream and I always have people turning into different people lol. My dreams usually have some sort of theme that involves chaos.

Men dream more in black and white, while women tend to dream in colors, that is what some research say. I, however, dream in colors, and very vivid and lifelike dreams. I usually fly or jump from roof to tree branches, have dreams of my good friends, people I love, and sometimes of strangers. Wet dreams occur from time to timeicon_redface.gif

I dream in color, and have absolutely no control over what happens in mine. There are situations that happen that should, in most people, warrant a reality check that could shift the dream into a lucid stage where you gain control. However, I never do question what I see in my dreams; to me, I think it's real life!

I have all sorts of dreams, but far more often than not, they are bad dreams. I dream occasionally of my gorgeous teeth getting loose and falling out of my mouth. And I can feel the gumline in my dreams like they're really missing! I've dreamt of falling off cliffs and waking up suddenly with the sinking feeling. I've had a couple bizarre sex dreams! Once, I dreamt my penis was like a pole vault pole, super super skinny long and bendy! I also once dreamt of two guys I knew from high school having sex with each other! And recently, the dream of making out with a handsome unknown man, went to anal that felt like he was doing it in a hole in my lower back! (I'm a virgin, I've never had anal sex before so I have no idea what it really feels like...) A couple dreams of being chased by murderers too...icon_eek.gificon_confused.gificon_neutral.gif

Oh! And one where I saw my baby puppy Sophie run out into the street and get hit by a car, and she was all bloody and dying and I was just bawling, trying to tell her she'd make it, but it looked pretty bad... icon_cry.gif

I know they are in color and they are vivid. I remember them more if I wake up right after. I can wake myself from a dream and sometimes even stay in a dream if it's a good one.

I always wonder that, especially if you were born blind. I wonder how people that are born blind think about the world and how like everything looks like...

I have dreams in color and they are always vivid.

They're in color and a lot of the time like I'm watching a movie...Like a 3rd person perspective.
My dreams often reflect my relationships a lot, like I've been dreaming about this one guy I've been seeing a lot lately- These kinds of dreams are usually in first person.

Mine are mixed, sometimes vivid sometimes not. Lately I've been having more sleep paralysis, which is not a good thing. icon_sad.gif

sadly, i've never dreamed in color. there have been times when certain objects or people are in color though, my ex showed up in color, my family in color, and certain types of objects like chairs or notebooks will appear in color.

sometimes the things in color have ended up being a clue to something in my real life...i had dreamt about a girl in my class being in color. weeks later, i was able to select someone from the class to be my witness in mock trial...i picked her on a whim and because of the dream -- she turned out to be AMAZING.

I don't often remember my dreams. Maybe I'll remember a couple a month. I definitely dream in color though because often part of what I remember is how strange the color in my dreams are.

I dream in textures. They are never object appropriate.

depends on deep my sleep is. simple dreams if I sleep distracted. if I can get lost in my sleep without interruption, the dreams are freakin' amazin'. they feel so real that I can't tell if I've actually woken up. it can get confusing at times, but completely worth the disorientation...of course, that only applies to the fun, weird, and interesting dreams. For the nightmares, they can be forgotten.
