When girls like you-

I was talking to a friend of mine who said she was bummed because she found out that a guy she likes is gay. This morning she said "and then last night at drag queen kareoke he broke the news to me."

Sure, it's not the most unlikely thing to hear from a guy at drag karaoke. I thought about it though and I told her I was gay when I first met her and I could tell she liked me. Thinking back further, I can name a few other girls that I told I was gay because I could tell they were developing a crush on me (not too conceited, right?) and I decided I need to nip this one in the bud right now.

I can't tell you how many times I have heard girls say "Why do I always fall for gay guys?" I'm getting kind of tired of hearing that "all the good ones are gay or taken." First of all, there are some bad ones who are gay and there are some taken ones who are gay, so the entire expression is bunk... but I digress.

Does anyone else employ this tactic?

I sure don't normally include my sexual orientation in the conversation when I'm just getting to know somebody, but I whip it out (giggle) when I get the feeling that a girl thinks we're on a date.

The relevant part of the clip isn't until 4:00, but I couldn't find a shorter one. For those of you unfamiliar with Margaret Cho... if you're easily offended, don't watch.

I wonder how often straight guys will tell a girl that they are guy just to get them off their back?
