Save yourself money on PRINTER INK

I don't mean this to be an advertisement, and I think I mentioned it before. Don't waste money on cartridges of ink at Staples or wherever. Just yesterday I ran out of magenta and usually order them for $5.99 each online, but had to get a shipment out and needed the printer to work. Staples charges $17.49 for that same cartridge!

Well, I decided to wait another day to see if the online order would get my magenta in and they did! So I took the unopened cartridge back to Staples and got my money back.

I was concerned about trusting online refilled cartridges, but I've had absolutely no problem ordering from 4inkjets.com for over a year now. Ink as good, same quality standards, etc. No problems.

I wanted to share this because being self-employed I look for savings. Do you know how many steak dinners and bottles of wine I can buy with that savings! icon_wink.gif

There's an endless battle between the refillers and the printer companies. The printer manufacturers are always trying new ways to make the printers detect and reject unauthorized cartridges.

I finally had to give up and pay the full un-lubed price for HP color laser cartridges. I probably spent a thousand dollars on "refills" and "compatibles," but only about 1 in 4 would even print, and those that did always left streaks and spots.

I've got an Epson and no problems. I think people should at least order one cartridge to see. I mean, damn, a $12 savings PER cartridge.

The difference between the staples / HP rape price and the generic refills for mine was $160 for one set. A tempting piece of change. (Minus three trips to town to exchange them to find ones that would work, lost labor, fuel... net cost probably $50 more.)
