I read most of the book last year. My trainers at my crossfit gym borrow heavily from some of the techniques therein, and some of the techniques come naturally if you're running in minimalist running shoes (eg. vibram five fingers). Though I don't personally know anyone that's ran a marathon using it

i've incorporated some of the principles into my running.
But it took me a solid year to transition into more forefoot running. But now that leg muscles have adapted it's great. You can then run with a more neutral shoe even if you have overpronation.
But i hate dogmatic approaches so sometimes i go back to heel striking, depending on the terrain, i do whatever feels right at the moment.

their cadence obsession is a bit silly i think.

    good advices, thank you all.

i am a beginer to run marathon, and i don't want to hurt my feet,.In order to follow throught the whole distance. perhaps such a running mode is fit for me. but just like xassantex said, there are something i don't know and some suggestion from Chi-Running can hard to get(eg. cadence in defferent velocity. It seems so difficult for runners for when you want to increase your velocity you must increace your pace length or frenquncy in a common mode).
