Medicare is government health insurance for retirees. How can they stay out of it?

The government needs to address the deficit in Medicare and not wait until it is another crisis and then cry, "we are broke."

It wasn't the democrats carrying around these signs during the health care overhaul, now was it.

Tell that to the Idiot Tbaggers who carried around signs and when interviewed must have made that statement a 100 times. LOL

There's an easy fix for Social Security (SS), increase the limit from $98,000 up to $120,000 for taking out deductions for SS. Then allow a public option that works along with Medicare/Medicaid and bring in the masses, the income will go quickly upwards and make the combined program solvent, and don't tell me it cannot work. Why do you think the Insurance Co's are so against it? They are very very wealthy off providing insurance and don't want to let loose of that income from all those people who would be joining into a public option.

Try getting that accross to the damn TBaggers !!!

I don't like either party as they are run by their leaders, so in my opinion, they are both hyprocrits and self serving jackasses, who could less about anyone else but themselves and power for their own party to better themselves.

This thread is about Medicare. The GOP used the issue of Medicare cuts to scare seniores and try to bury Obama's health care reform plans. Now the GOP wants to cut Medicare. Total hypocrisy!

Even what is done for gays is only done, if it serves them and gives their own party more power. Neither party cares about anyone, but themself and their policies are established for the sole purpose to gain more wealth and power for themself. The entire country is being taken for a fucking ride.

Mark my words: if we as a republic continue down this current path, in less than 20 years we will be a republic no more, but a collection of ruined sub-national fiefdoms and paramilitary junta-controlled regions sharing a shattered continent.

Revolution will come, and it will be very ugly for everyone except the wealthy who will have absconded with their wealth to better places.

    I don't agree with that.
I think a majority of Democrats genuinely support gay rights and a majority of Republicans genuinely do NOT.
    I don't think it's just political posturing.

The two parties do have very different views on gay rights, and on many other issues.
And for deeply felt reasons, not just for political strategizing

Trust me, I'd much rather be grabbing YOU than your medicare. ;)

As for my apocalyptic moment above, don't take that too seriously. Just kind of flustergated at the remarkable greed and incompetence of our ruling class.
