I'm in a funk. Been in it for a while and it only seems to get worst. I've tried my usual things to attempt to get out of it but they didn't work.

What do you guys do to get out of your funks?

Too much time with nothing to do can become your enemy.
And, some guys have a hard time doing things alone.
Contact your friends or family and do some things together.

Make dinner, and invite friends over.
Host a game night, playing dice games or card games.
Ask a friend to meet you at a cafe' for lunch.
    Read some good books.
    Do home improvement projects.
    Garden.
    Volunteer.
    Go to a ball game.
    Go to the theater.
    Go to see a film.
    And, there's always the gym.

Read Louise Hay's book, "Healing Your Life."

I talk to friends. I am usually only in funks when I am lonely so talking to my best friends usually makes it instantly better.

I also go driving sometimes. For some reason that really helps me clear my head a lot of the times.

I'm stuck in one too. I can't bring myself to see my best friend, because everything he seems to say/do annoys me for no reason.

I've been keeping to myself and its getting old quick. icon_confused.gif

Go get a bottle of wine and a sappy movie that makes you cry a lot. You will feel a bit better about yourself. But I am no doctor to be giving orders so...

This is the remedy right here!

A bar of the SUPER SIZED TOBLERONES.. or 10 bars of the regular sized toblerones... AND strawberry cheesecake with vanilla ice cream

    THEN

your favourite movie... mine is LORD OF THE RINGS.

Now, you can do all of the above with a friend for that extra happy feeling.. but if you do, make sure the number of toblerones, the number of slices of cheesecake, and the number of scoops of ice cream are doubled.

hmm well depends on what kind of funk it is.... so its either grab the ice cream and watch way too much tv... or grab the ipod hit the gym and just beat myself to a pulp doing cardio and physical control exercises, or grab the ipod and go dancing around the house like a maniac (hoping no one is watching...)!

If that doesn't work its time for drastic measures.... and I go to bed! Its always better on a goodnight sleep.

And if that doesn't work I fake it and smile and tell myself that I'm doing just great and I'm a very lucky person until its no longer faking it.
