It was one of the best genre films I've seen in a long time. The third act was a bit hairy but other than that it was perfection. I almost stormed out during the previews when i found out that the people behind it were also behind that steaming pile of crap paranormal activity but I'm so glad I stayed.

I talk to the make up artist who did this movie regularly. It's getting mixed reviews from harsh crowds, but I kind of want to see it. :3

No it was definitely a great movie, if you like horror movies definitely go check this out. The ending wasn't bad, you don't see other horror movies trying to come out with original films, this movie definitely had a lot of elements that made the movie enjoyable and definitely gave you that 'jump out of your seat' factor a few times along with the creepy factor.

Excellent Movie....a little cheese, but, some good scares.

There is a bad ass demon that scared the hell out of me...

Try to see it on the IMAX or big screen. I don't think it's going to work
    as well at home.

After watching Paranormal Activity I was hesitant to see this film (due to that movies lameness)....
Then I sat down in theatres and watched this movie. I don't think I've ever cursed, peed, screamed, so much at one time in my life.
    Awwwesssooommme..
I actually preferred the second half of the movie because the first half seemed to follow a cliche plot....then it was like WTF?!

saw it this weekend, best horror movie in a long time, much better than Paranormal. There was some different elements that we have not seen for a while. Yes some similarities to Poltergeist but that made it all the more enjoyable. Some great scares and wtf moments. Love the women they bring in to help them, the delivery of her lines is spot on.

it was only made for about a million and has made over 25 million. Hopefully there will be a sequel. I would highly recommend this movie over the bunch of crappy stuff that Hollywood has put out in recent weeks

This movie was awsome. One of the best scary movies I ever seen. It has been along time since I was scared while watching a movie. I really hope they don't make a second to this.

I went into this with such high hopes, and was let down a lot. DEFINITELY felt PG-13 to me. If they took it a bit further, I think it could have been amazing. Didn't like when it got all sci-fiction. I was really excited for it, but wasn't anything special. I'd say it's on par with Haunting In Connecticut, & that's not saying much. The visuals were very nicely done though.

My sentiments exactly! Save your $12.99 and rent it later when it becomes avail on dvd. The first half was pretty good, setting the mood and atmosphere. The second half borrowed heavily from Poltergeist, which IMO was done much better, even if it may be somewhat dated by today's standards. The parapsychologist woman specialist doesn't hold a candle to "Tangina" in Poltergeist. icon_cool.gif
