Would you ever move because the area you live in makes it seemingly impossible to date or be in a relationship? [This includes guys who live in very gay friendly areas as well.]

Although I live in Jersey- 15 minutes from Manhattan, I have thought about moving because of this issue. However my job is specific to NYC [or LA] and all my family is all in NJ. Just curious to know if anyone else has thought of this or if it is just me.

May you go into a little bit more detail about "the area you live in makes it seemingly impossible to date"...

Why would a place make it tough for you to date - unless it was devoid of gays (Which, is not the reason I am assuming because you mentioned very gay friendly areas are included as well).

I grew up in rural Arkansas, in a little town of <3000 people.
It wasn't impossible to date, but it was impossible to find a guy who was physically my type.
Now I live in South Florida. They're abundant here. icon_biggrin.gif

I live about 40 mi outside San Diego. I live alone in a smll town in an area considered high desert,Im there alonewith my three small dogs, Im gay yes, but depends on who Im talking to, dating? not many opportunities, typically I have self aclaimed straight men chasing me for sex.....fun in teh sack but not dating material.Would I move, NO I love my little house in the rural area away from the big city and where neighbors know each other and talk to each other. Im fortunate my neighbors know about me and accept me. Just wish I could find a man to share my life with, but I will not move to make it easier.
