I used to be that risky in my 20's now I tumble on a track and karate spar on a mat. See what happens when you turn 37
    hahaha

Yeah, it's called a healthy sense of self-preservation. They need to show all the injuries and wounds it takes to get to that level of expertise...

These videos also reminded me of this:

Almost all of the guys I know that do parkour have some kind of background in gymnastics and/or martial arts. I've inquired about it time and again, and from what they tell me, other than more frequent cuts and scrapes and various forms of road rash, they weren't having any more injuries than what they get/got from gymnastics and martial arts training. Maybe they're freakishly talented or extremely lucky...who knows? These guys' ages range from early 20s to early 30s.

I want to learn how to do that.

I also enjoyed how they played Ellie Gouldings - Lights (Bassnectar Remix) in the background. :3

You guys should check out the films District 13 (Banlieue 13) and it sequel District 13: Ultimatum, two French action films that really showcase Parkour. They star David Belle, a martial artist who was one of the co-founders of Parkour. He was also featured in a series of ads on BBC One in the early to mid-'00s.

started in karate at 9 (27 years now) gymnastics at 11 stopped due to bad wrists (insert gay insult here) and stopped at 17. I still tumble on a track at a gymnastics gym and can still throw doubles and layouts but hard floor like grass, gym or concrete destroys your shoulders and wrists after 2 or 3 backhandsprings.
