If you could describe a song, lyrically and musically as "the most beautiful ever" what would you say fits the description for you?

There's one that pops immediately to mind that goes beyond all others for me:

Also, this rendition/Duet of "Hero" with Luciano Pavarotti is incredible:

I know. I'm obsessed, but really I think its a beautiful song.

Second place is: "In my place" by Coldplay

    I see your relic...

And raise you an un-sexual version of Teenage Dream that is ridiculously dreamy.

Thom Yorke apparently also considers it his favourite song & one of the most beautiful songs he's ever heard.

It's a song that is not really known yet, it's been written from an underrated hottie from Michigan. But it's the most beautiful song for sure icon_biggrin.gif

I think the title is "Disasterpiece", or "Wednesday, 5am on the adult chatroom"... Anyways, enjoy !

    Hehehehe...

I dream of you when I sleep at night
    So nobody will know
    Even in the worst dream
Like a moth to a flame
    I can't breathe
No that's all right, it's okay
You said we weren't meant to be.
Yeah that's all right. no, it's okay
I'll lay here and think of you anyway...

It's so easy to replace you (replace you)
Yet this is me letting you know that I can't let you go
This is me letting you know that I won't let you go
    I can't replace you.

    Words flash through my mind
    Like the hourglass of time
    So angry sometimes
    Throwing punches at lies
But I went to sleep thinking about you
And I woke up just the same
    So don't leave this
    No don't leave this way

It's so easy to replace you (replace you)
Yet this is me letting you know that I can't let you go
This is me letting you know that I won't let you go
    But I can't replace you.

It's like pulling a needle with no thread
The glass house with no stones to throw through it
It feels like setting fire to the town as your boat pulls off the shore
A sad story with no where to turn but what you made for yourself
Still you look in my eyes and I'm screaming inside... (I'm sorry)

This is me letting you know that I can't let you go
This is me letting you know that I won't let you go
    No I can't, no I won't
    No I can't, no I wont
    Let
    You
    Go

    Don't let go.

I was lying in my bed last night staring
At a ceiling full of stars
    When it suddenly hit me
I just have to let you know how I feel
We live together in a photograph of time
    I look into your eyes
And the seas open up to me
I tell you I love you
    And I always will
And I know you can't tell me
I know you can't tell me

So I'm left to pick up
The hints, the little symbols of your devotion
So I'm left to pick up
The hints, the little symbols of your devotion

    And I feel your fists
And I know it's out of love
    And I feel the whip
And I know it's out of love
And I feel your burning eyes burning holes
    Straight through my heart
    It's out of love
    It's out of love

I accept and I collect upon my body
    The memories of your devotion
I accept and I collect upon by body
    The memories of your devotion

    And I feel your fists
And I know it's out of love
    And I feel the whip
And I know it's out of love
And I feel your burning eyes burning holes
    Straight through my heart
It's out of love, ooh hoo
    It's out of love

Give me a little bit serious love
Give me a little full love
    Be full of love

Fists, fists, fists full of love...

"What A Difference A Day Makes"

What a difference a day makes
    Twenty-four little hours
Brought the sun and the flowers
Where there used to be rain

    My yesterday was blue, dear
Today I'm a part of you, dear
My lonely nights are through, dear
Since you said you were mine

What a difference a day makes
    There's a rainbow before me
    Skies above can't be stormy
Since that moment of bliss, that thrilling kiss

It's heaven when you find romance on your menu
What a difference a day made
    And the difference is you

What a difference a day makes
    There's a rainbow before me
    Skies above can't be stormy
Since that moment of bliss, that thrilling kiss

It's heaven when you find romance on your menu
What a difference a day made
    And the difference is you

I really like the song, "Walk With You" by Dispatch.

And I will walk with you,
    using the stars as guides.
On a homeward path we go
    Knowing our time is nigh

I, and I will walk to be with you.
    All I've done,
    to be with you...

So put your hand in mine,
and lay your head to rest.
We'll light the candles now - they won't be lit for long
we'll know our day was blessed

I, and I will walk to be with you.
All I've done, all I've done
    Just to be with you...
    I, I,

And I will walk with you,
    Using the stars as guides
on a homeward path we go,
    knowin' our time is nigh

I, I will walk to be with you.
    All I've done,
    and all I say
    I, I,
    To be with you,
    to be with you,
    to be with you,

I could never pick just one, but this is one I was floored by when I heard it. Unfortunately, the only video I could find of it has some montage from a TV show, but you could play it and ignore the video.

I find beautiful music quite regularly. Just look or listen around and it's there. Here's a couple that I've kept as favorites:

    Cranberries..."Everything I Said"

    It makes me lonely,
    It makes me very lonely,
When I see you here, waitin' on.

    It makes me tired,
    It makes me very tired,
And inside of me, lingers on.

But you have your heart, oh,
    Don't believe it,
And you ran outside, waiting on.

    Everything I said, oh,
    Well I meant it,
And inside my head, holdin' on.

    'Cause if I died tonight,
Would you hold my head, oh,
    Would you understand?

And if I lied in spite,
    Would you still be here,
    No, would you disappear?

    Surely must be you,
    Surely must be you,
But I don't make you lonely.

    I'll get over you,
    I'll get over you,
But I don't make you lonely.

La, da, da, da, da, da...
