I just received a notice from the site BoldProgressives.org that Walkers pick for Judge, lost to the Democrat challenger. There goes the first Union Busting effort !!

As some of us have mentioned, Walker took things too damn far and already the pendulum is starting its swing back toward the middle from the far right TBaggers, I think you'll see this trend going all the way through 2012, especially with Ryan's widely accepted republican plan to kill medicare. I think this will turn a lot of voters away from the Corporatist party. All of this is a stretch too far in efforts to satisfy the TBaggers, What do you think, has the pendulum commenced its swing back to the middle ?

There's going to be a recount but I think she'll ultimately emerge as the winner.

    Her acceptance speech
    http://front.moveon.org/massive-upset-victory-in-wisconsin/?rc=fb.fan

“We owe Justice Prosser our gratitude for his more than 30 years of public service. Wisconsin voters have spoken and I am grateful for, and humbled by, their confidence and trust. I will be independent and impartial and I will decide cases based on the facts and the law. As I have traveled the State, people tell me they believe partisan politics do not belong in our Courts. I look forward to bringing new blood to the Supreme Court and focusing my energy on the important work Wisconsin residents elect Supreme Court justices to do.”

The right POURED HUGE amounts of money on this race and she still won
A victory that NEVER would have happened if the right hadn't over reached and gone after the Unions the way they did

Just one more nail in the republicans coffin

Next stop? ...... Recall Ville ..... You Packin' Governor Walker? icon_biggrin.gif

Scott Walker's 'Waterloo': 19 Counties Flip To Democrats In Wisconsin Supreme Court Race
19 counties that went for Walker in the 2010 elections this time flipped and went for Kloppenburg, including LaCrosse (59 percent), Sauk (56 percent) and Dunn (56 percent).

I find it amusing that even with all of the energy resurgence on the side of democrats that they only got 50% with 204 meager votes separating the election. And liberals try to pretend that all of Wisconsin is in an uproar against Scott Walker when that isn't the case at all.

A recall, which will be happening, can very easily change that and I remain optimistic.

The victory is that Prosser had a 30% lead just two months ago. Closing that gap and defeating him is a huge victory.

A lot is going to depend on what Obama does. If he sits on his hands and expects people to vote for him because of his smooth campaign talk, people aren't going to buy it this time. People want to see more than just talk. And if he still insists on shoving government health care down our throats, people are not going to be happy. He has to compromise and make adjustments from feedback and reactions from the people regarding those things people don't like. But when it's all his way or no way people are not going to give him another chance.

    Help me out,

I had been trying to ignore this endless fight in Wisconsin because of so many more important and pressing world matters..

So if the Democratic judge is elected, and the anti-union bill is declared unconstitutional because of a procedure?

If the Wisconsin Senate votes again presumably with the same result it is perfectly legal?

Seems like a delay tactic, although it makes sense the Democrats and Republicans would want there judge in there.

But it seems to be a fairly dramatic politicization of the judicial process.

Legislature / governor makes the law. Judiciary interprets them right?

I believe the state requires an automatic recount if the totals are within .05%
    Looks like that's the case.

The reason we're cheering is that, if Republican Governor Walker and the Republican legislature hadn't gone on a union busting binge, falsely blaming teachers and firemen for all of the state's financial problems, the Republican judge would have been reelected in a landslide. So, for a Democratic candidate to come out ahead is a loud statement by the voters of Wisconsin that they DO NOT APPROVE of what the Republicans are doing.

    Legislature makes the law.
    Governor signs it into law.
Judiciary says whether the law is Constitutional (legal) or not.

    Oh and BTW ?

The Milwaukee County seat that Scott Walker had for 8 years before he became Governor ?

    Went to a democrat
Not just by a few percentage points
The democratic candidate won with 61% of the vote

    http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/119299589.html

and when Walker was told about the republican defeat?
He said "Milwaukee is "dark" blue"

    Hello Governor Pariah icon_cool.gif

BTW, I should mention in here the perpetuation of this filthy ploy to portray Justice Prosser as being tied to Walker. That has been solely the effort of unions and democrats who have invented out of thin air that Prosser is going to vote Walker's way. When asked he said that he does not necessarily agree with Walker's bill and none of them had said anything to indicate that they are somehow allies.

However, we do know that Kloppenburg is basically just an arm of the union and she has all but assured them that she will vote in their favor.

What a travesty of the justice system.

    "Walker judge" my ass.

WHY would a judge voting pro-union be a "travesty of the justice system"?

It's a travesty because the unions have made a successful effort at deceitfully associating Prosser with Walker, as though he were a judge ready to do his bidding and "continue" an anti-union March. The truth is that Prosser is not an activist judge. He has never voted conservative consistently at all. The has voted many different ways and his record is pretty moderate. The unions have launched this attack for the sole purpose of electing a purely activist judge that has all but clearly expressed that she will vote whichever way they want.

This has nothing to do with voting pro union or anti union, it has to do with what has happened and the lies in play.

Hmmmm. so why then, Mock, did so many (according to you) listen to what the Unions had to say (supposed lies) and believe it? Are you saying your State is full of stupid people and that you are one of the few smart ones? O.o

If Prosser had announced he was going to side with Walker and got subsequently voted in would that be a travesty of justice too?

Because it was painted falsely that way. Prosser is not the walker judge, Kloppenburg IS the union thug judge. She is an activist judge, Prosser is not.

I didn't say anybody's stupid. I said that they were influenced by the outright misrepresentation that occurred by your beloved unions.

Quit putting words in my mouth. You're not even good at this game.
