Hello to all of you beautiful guys icon_biggrin.gif sorry to bother you but I need help and I tought someone might be able to help me here hehehe ;)

I used to do a lot of exercise during my martial arts days and I used to have a nice healthy very resistant body tough a little slim (kinda bruce lee body - not very sexy lol) I stopped that 4 years ago and now I am all bones icon_sad.gif . Picture below...
    148336_461366048978_777163978_5414135_18

The point is I'm beginning a training program focused on gaining weight and mostly to get a sexy body, not too slim and not too buffed up; and I want to achieve that without using suplements of any kind (maybe Vitamins only).

My problem is that I havent found one single trainer (here where I live) that doesn't use any roids or supplements (powders, shakes, etc.)... So to be honest I don't trust in them (because all they want to is sell me that stuff).

I know there must be a way to achieve what I want without eating all that superficial stuff.

(Reasons why I dont want to use them are: Health, mood changes (2 of my brothers have used them and they became more violent and grumpy), and also I could use that money on other stuff like healthy food or a dozen more enjoyable things!

Every bit of information is highly appreciated, a diet example would be nice too!

Thank you very much in advance!

    Have a nice day =)

Bruce Lee movies were the first form of "porn" I ever watched...used to jack off to his movies all the time when I was a kid. He was fucking hot! icon_lol.gif

To get larger without supplements, you'll need to eat a lot...like 6+ full meals every day.

PS. I hope you and everyone you know are ok after yesterday's quake:

Sorry, I'd like further clarification as to which supplements your brothers were using?

Hormonal supplements can for sure affect health, mental or otherwise, but protein powder? Even some pre-workouts might affect behaviour (especially if they're all, you know, GTL, but whatevs)

In short, supplements are not created equal. A mass gainer will probably only affect your weight.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but being natural does allow you to use protien powders?

And as far as I know, Protein does not alter mood.

    Also, 2000 - 2500 is not enough.

hahahaha I lol'ed at this, no I don't want to gain that much weight hahaha...

To makavelli and Thisuserexist... thanks for your information! I think I'm kind of missinformed and scared... So I'm starting to read about the protein powders... My brothers use qwide variety of supplements, one of them even injected some crap that made him a little psycho... good thing he later understood that was damaging his body and stoped using that.

So, thanks for the advice, I really appreaciate it =) It's very hard for me to gain weight, so if you know of anything that could help me build a little more muscle that would be great icon_biggrin.gif

P.S. I eat like a PIG so that's not the problem, its just my metabolism.

The metabolism is tough, I know. My boyfriend has a ridiculous metabolism and a hellish school schedule at like 3 campuses. His eating habits suffer and he really wants to do better with his body.

Helluva great ass though, all that biking between campuses... God I'm a bad man.

Metabolism-schmabolism. If you haven't counted your calories and macros you have no way of knowing if you have a high metabolism. I thought I was eating but it turned out that any time I ate a lot I just compensated by eating less later.

So count your calories. You'll need a kitchen scale (for most things just put it under your plate) and a website like myfitnesspal.com or similar.

Protein shakes can be good because it's a less filling way of getting in protein.

hey buddy, i understand you want to put on the weight without the artificial stuff. however, the reason they are telling you that you will need to take protein is because you will have to eat almost twice your weight in food and that is pretty hard to do for the average person with a full time job. i am not saying you can do it but it will be difficult. if you are slim, i am probably guessing you are not eating enough. also, you have to eat immediately after workout. i mean immediately after your workouts. the body has a 30 minute window after your workouts to replenish the glycogen and feed the muscle you are building.
anyhow, my point is there are all natural protein supplements that you can take. if not be prepared to carry food all the time and tons of it because that is the only way to put it on.

There are plenty of natural protein powders and bars. More expensive, yes, but that's the price you pay for good stuff.

I have a Vegan Tru Food/Optimum Nutriton Natural Oats N Whey shake post-workout and an Organic Food Bar every morning. The rest of my diet (typically) consists of nuts and fruit/vegetables juices and provides more than enough protein and calories.

Just because it's a supplement doesn't make it automatically artificial and bad. You just have to read ingredients carefully.

Personally, I don't do protein shakes anymore...stopped last Fall.
I will admit, though, that eating the same amount of protein is really really expensive!
Even cooking at home now costs more than eating out at average restaurants.
So, if finances won't allow for that, then yeah...find a good protein shake. My fav was always Muscle Milk.
