Finally, within my schedule I have found time to bring up a moderated ConservativeJock Blog. icon_razz.gif

    It can be found at:

    http://conservativejock.wordpress.com/

Since the blog is moderated you will have to register. This requires an e-mail address. I suggest creating a Yahoo or similar address so as you can keep your identity private.

Another challenge when signing up is the "register" link you will see when attempting to add a comment carries you to a page that expects you to create a blog. If you only want a user account, there is a small link that allows you to create only an account. Be observant and you'll be fine.

In addition I will not accept any of the trash that can appear in RealJock forums for approval. Liberals, Independent , and Conservatives are welcome, but you're going to have to apply some mental effort to your posts rather than the usual name calling.

Have fun. You'll learn more about me. Perhaps I too will learn.

We hear constant whines from the right-wingers here, about how unfair the RJ blogs supposedly are for the poor picked-on victim right-wingers - but when the right-wingers create a blog of their own - it's a "moderated" blog.

Here on these forum blogs everyone can post whatever they want.
Contrary to the whines from the right - it's totally fair.

But on the "conservative jock" blog - dissenting opinions from the left will be censored.

    Typical Republican hypocrisy.

This site really doesn't emphasize politics... it is supposedly about health and fitness as it relates to gay men, with a side order of naughtiness in some places, and in others, a side of politics.

The site owners by their good graces have chosen not to bother moderating the forum (aside from truly egregious offensive speech).

ConservativeJock (the man) is paying for the his forum, and can do with it as he pleases.

Considering that conservative gays are very much a minority within the minority, he may see fit to moderate it since by advertising its existence here, he might attract a number of liberals who may not exercise the decorum he wishes to have on HIS forum.

Here, liberals can more or less can shut down conservative gays by sheer numbers. Perhaps he wants to be able to carry on a discussion with conservative minded gays without the vitriol and barb-slinging that some RJ threads descend into.

Sort of like how DailyKos silences folks who veer too far from its party line, and RedState does likewise to its folks who get too far away from their vision.

You might be surprised at how many conservative thinking gay people there are, including here on RJ, but they don't think in the extremes I often see here.

They have consciences and consider the plight of those their budgetary ideals would marginalize further. Their thinking is careful and precise, and I enjoy it greatly.

I'm not big on sites that are heavily moderated. We're all adults...if someone can't handle "free speech" then they need to grow up

Me neither. RedState's handling of the Ron Paul partisans during the 2008 GOP primaries more or less turned me off of that site for good.

Of course he and his fellow right-wingers can do as they wish.
I support the freedom of everyone.
But it is still highly hypocritical.
Which is the only point that I was making.
