I'm surprised there is not a topic on this yet.

This was an interesting and telling comment made:
    BBC said:
"It was a catastrophe. It looked like those things in the United States, when people go into a school and start shooting," one rescue worker said.

I can not say I am surprise to see the US news media not pay much attention to this sad event. May they find peace.

This is much more disturbing than anything I can remember happening in the United States within the last ten years. icon_eek.gif I have no idea what to say.

Working as a school manager in southeast Brazil you can imagine how I felt when I saw that on tv.

The guy was motivated by religious purposes, and the letter he wrote and kept along with himself giving instructions on how his remains should be treated showed he had a high level of education and literacy (which is not so common in the country, specially in poor areas like that) as much as religious bigotry.

The lives of 12 kids were seized so he could call attention to chastity, virginity, cleanliness and innocence. It reminded me of those bomb-men who believe they are vessels of a divine message when put such terror into practice.
