I went out for vegetarian Vietnamese food. The leftovers will last me through tomorrow.
I came home and had strawberries and mango, both ripe and juice.
    Yum!

Oh god I remember those days, I had a budget of $3 per meal, which back then you could get a whole lot of stuff off the dollar menu at Wendys. Or we saved up and just had one big meal at the all you can eat pancakes place (AKA golden griddle). Where we would eat ourselves stupid.

LOL...this reminds me of an OLD movie (from the 60's, I think) called "Where's Papa" starring the late Ruth Gordon. She was a little "off", her husband had died and was living with her son. He had to get her out of bed each morning, set her up with a T.V tray and prepare her favorite breakfast...Pepsi and cornflakes.
If you EVER get the chance...ya gotta see this movie!!

I haven't eaten cereal with milk in about 20 years. I have tried the Almond Milk and Soy Milk (Oxymoron, your wife is on line 2!) but still eat it dry.
My Uncle used to pour orange juice over cornflakes. Um.. No.

Do you have access to a kitchen at University? What can you prepare? I can make a gourmet "Care Package" happen. Not on a regular basis, but just to give you some relief from cereal. Please let me know, and what you like.

I can have some steak sent there, and Maine lobster isn't very far away, a lot fresher than I can get down here in Florida. Something like souvlaki might be a challenge, but I'm always up to challenges -- you tell me.

Or tell me your favorite restaurant, and I will make arrangements for you and a guest. I do this all the time for our friends when they travel, a lovely way to say we're thinking of them.

    So let me know.

yea we have a common room (harry potter much? lol) which has a stove top, overn microwave, fridge, freezer etc...

metro is also like two streets away... so I can buy some groceries... It's just that it was closed at the time I was hungry (which was like 3 something am - check the thread start time).

I would love to hear what you can whirl up icon_razz.gif

Probably a good thread for those on res out there as well icon_razz.gif

I edited my original post to include the possibility of a local restaurant you like, something nice, since I don't know if I can manage your souvlaki delivered. Let's go RJ e-mail.
