What do you think of A&F models?

After looking at pictures of them I feel inspired to work out and tone up a bit, not to the level of looking exactly like them but having a better build. Any other slim guys feel the same? Maybe it's just me..

Here's some more inspiration for slim guys.bruce-weber8.jpg?w=603

I guess they switched out their models. I remember they used to look a little more anorexic. And barely legal. icon_lol.gif

Anyways, I don't think it matters where you find your inspiration. If it helps you achieve your goals, then go for it. icon_cool.gif

Looks like A & F finally got the memo that models do indeed have to eat to sustain themselves and keep up the energy for working out.

Ive wanted to get bigger for a long time but Im struggling to get above 150. I'd say my inspiration is a desire to date built guys, so I'd like to offer a similar build ^_^

Sometimes I think that A&F and their models are responsible for 1/2 of gay men's body image problems..... lol

Well, it's good to see the marketing department at A&F did their job. Calvin Klein did the whole "homo-erotic' ads first, and I have to say they were much better.

    Do A&F ads inspire me? . . . no.
    Motivate me? . . no.

What motivates me is the complete opposite. When I see a middle-aged, overweight, unhappy guy, struggling to walk from his car to the front door, I think to myself, "I am not gonna be that guy. No way in hell."

I was on that path two years ago and I am so happy I turned it around.

And everyone loves Fierce, even if they say they hate it, friends will ask me what I'm wearing. Voila! Fierce!

Me too. I'll catch myself and wonder why my brain goes to "I need to workout more" mode whenever I see their ads. Nice eye candy but it's a double edged sword.

And guys with a natural build here on RJ inspire me more than a lot of A&F models.

I guess I should have said guys with a good physique instead

I just did a photo shoot with a former A&F model - he is incredibly hot and really nice.

I stood 3 to 4 feet behind his fine ass for 2 1/2 hours. MMMM.

you ARE of course right the first time around, A&F / Hollister dont aim for the 24 y/o crowd but the 24-44 y/o crowd who think they're still 18-20.
The senior set models - if they even are A&F models (doubts) are there to make the 44-60something feel younger. u gota get their marketing angel or wind up a sour puss...icon_rolleyes.gif

More inspired by people who have great bodies because they want to improve and better themselves.

Regardless, they're still great eye candy

I say use whatever gets you inspired to work out. Keep in mind also there's always going to be someone bigger, better, stronger, better this or that—just try to be the best you that you can.

What is interesting about A&F models is that most if not all, don't have 'everything'.
Some have a cute face, some a nice chest and others nice legs. Put them all together in a picture and you have the illusion of a perfect man.
