Anyone else waiting in anticipation to see it? icon_biggrin.gif I can't wait!

Though I'm gonna be extremely pissed off if they kill Sydney, Gale or Dewey... Even though I'm almost sure they will icon_sad.gif I think the whole thing will be completely ruined if they do icon_sad.gif also Haydens character icon_biggrin.gif I don't want her to die haha I've seen her die enough times on heroes >.>

I can't wait, I'm just hoping it doesn't suck like scream 3 did. They better not kill Neve Campbell, She is my favourite scream queen. Based on the previews I saw it seems the first victims of ghost face will be Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell, Will Be interesting to see if they can top the Drew Barrymore kill off scene from the original, I doubt it though.

I watched Scream 4 last night and to be honest with you guys, it sucks icon_sad.gif I have been so disappointed. I expected something so different, so new...This is the one I like the least of all the Screams. Wes Craven shouldn't have made another sequel...
The best ones were Scream 2 and 3!
What do you guys think about it?

I saw Scream 4 yesterday and I thought it was great.

Very well written, smart, buckets of blood (after the goreless Scream 3 icon_sad.gif) and some great new characters.

The film has had very mixed reviews but if your a Scream fan I doubt you'd be disappointed, personally I'd rank it at the same level as Scream 2, nothing will ever top the first one but for the fourth film in the franchise it's of a very high quality.

One thing I will say is that apart from a few jump scares it's more of a horror comedy/drama than a truly scary movie.

Also opening sequence is really well done and different from the others in the series.

    Im gonna agree with whateveryo

I thought this movie was pretty awesome. None will ever be able to compare to Scream 1 but this one was def. worth seeing.

Its a combination of Comedy and one big blood bath and a few jumps in between. I didnt see the killer coming but once that part happens Its really interesting.

    I love Neve Campbell Also!

I think their will be a 5 and 6. Ive heard that if this one does well they will make a couple more. I say WHY NOT??

Sadly, the box office for "Scream 4" has been disappointing...I'm not sure why people are staying away. The reviews have been mixed, but there are more positive than negative, and with the original cast back, along with actors who are young and hot right now as well, you'd almost expect that it really should've trounced "Rio" in the opening box office!

Instead, it grabbed less than half the box office...and so now the question becomes, will it have the staying power to make it to the $100 million mark.

If it doesn't do that, I suspect it will not spawn any other sequels.

Don't mean to be Debbie Downer...but I really enjoyed it, and it's disappointing that people are staying away. icon_sad.gif

People are staying away from Scream because they've seen it before (3 times in fact) and most prefer to save their hard-earned money for something new, original, and even imaginative.

Its the best one yet in my opinion... It was a good mix of laughter, suspense and heart jumping moments. Go see it people, you won't regret it. (plus you get to see how much Courtney Cox looks like Janice Dickenson(a much hotter version) too!)

You mean like the did for Saw, Halloween, Resident Evil, Friday the 13th and every other very successful multiple suspenseful/horror movie franchise? I think you may be on to something here... icon_rolleyes.gif

i think it was alright, bits could have been better-- the opening was great.

the only thing wrong, i thought, was the newer characters backstory/substance, like the other movies emphasized more character development. this one felt like they were just weaved in/out.

the motive for the killings was kinda bland also,in my opinion, but still worked.

i thought neve did a great job as sidney--ever the survivor.

the suspense was pretty equal in this one too-- the hospital parking garage scene was the only scene where i was like brenda from 'scary movie 1"--

It was ok, but I think it went a little overboard with the satire.

I saw Scream 4 and it was great.

It wasn't so much scary as it was exciting with hints of suspense here and there (unlike the 3rd one which was basically just funny and way to watered down in terms of violence).

It was great to see the Scream trio of actors (Campbell, Cox, Arquette) back together again and the new ensemble of teens were actually likeable!

That's a rarity in horror films.

The motives for the killer and ending are a kick too.

One of the few disappointments was that they didn't have enough scenes with Gale, Dewey, and Sydney all together --- they were to spread out all over the place.

I must say - Scream 4 had the best opening out of the entire series. It beat Drew Barrymore's death in part 1.

Scream 4 was awesome, loved the beginning, so awesome. Loved the motive for the killer, made me think of something I'd do haha, the teenagers actually looked as though they were teenagers which was good, hate those movies where the teenagers look like they are super old. Sooo yeah it was a really good movie, all those who haven't seen it, should!

    I never saw Scream 1, 2, or 3... so no, I don't need to watch Scream 4, 5, 6, or 7.

Excellent movie. Because of its sentimental value, nothing can touch Scream 1 for me, but I think this is a great movie in its own right and may be a nice intro to the new generation.

I actually thought it struck the right balance between refering to past movies while also actually achieving original moments, especially the beginning(s) and the ending(s).

I had a loooot of fun watching it. I left the movies feeling ALIVE. icon_twisted.gif

I wouldn't go that far...saying that Scream 4's opening was better than the opening in the first film. I mean, the first film's opening is now one of those classic moments in cinema horror...and while I was taken completely by surprise by Scream 4's opening, I kind of saw it more as a clever way of updating us on what had been happening in the "Scream world" since the last movie ended.

Which was the right approach to take as (and I don't think I'm giving anything away here) "Scream 4" is making a larger statement about remakes...just like the third one made a statement about trilogies, the second one about sequels, and the first one about slasher films!

At any rate...I did enjoy the film a great deal! icon_smile.gif
