Okay ......... what's with the republicans and their loss of reality lately?

We all know they lie with a straight face but ever since they took over the House it's like they've taken an Anti-truth serum or something

Here's Stephen Colbert calling out John Kyl for stating something about Planned Parenthood that was COMPLETELY false and when he was called on it
............. said "Oh but my INTENTION was truthful" icon_cool.gif

and then that ever-lovin' comedy troop of FOX and friends
    said
................. But you can get your PAP smears at Walgreens

    EEEEEEWWWWWW ! icon_eek.gif

I was wondering why the chairs next to the pharmacy window had stirrups.

What really disgusts me is that pretty close to ZERO Democrats have the balls to stand up and call them LIARS.

    Jon Stewart's reply was great:
"The reality is that abortions make up closer to 3% of what Planned Parenthood does. So why did Kyl say 90 perent? CNN got a hold of him and relayed his response: apparently it was "not intended to be a factual statement" and was supposed to merely illustrate that Planned Parenthood subsidizes abortions.

"So if I was to say that Jon Kyl spends 90 percent of his time in the Senate drooling and farting..." Stewart began."

So true. The Democrats get a gift like this statement handed to them on a silver platter and do nothing. I'm disappointed that someone like Sen. Al Franken didn't at least provide some mocking commentary.

The rules of civil debate pretty much went out the window when he summarized his tactics in that statement. Just throw out a false statement because he believes in it...if only one can do math with that method.icon_lol.gif

To prove 1+1 = 3, you just need to have 1+0 = 2. Doesn't matter about the contradictions after that (1+1 can now equal any positive integer >=3).

The US Senate has a tradition of not verbally attacking each other on the floor, and the courtesy generally extends outside the chamber, as well. Therefore, Democrats need surrogates who are not Senators to respond to lunacy & lies like Kyl's.

Yet more proof that the Repubs will say ANYTHING to try to get people to vote Repub.
They don't care if they have to spin LIE or rewrite history.
    THE REPUBS WILL SAY ANYTHING.
Every word they say needs to be fact-checked.

You guys have noticed that our RJ band of diehards hasn't 'touched' this thread.. I'm wondering why, given their propensity for spinning the truth.

The contempt for the truth and gutter level morality of Fox does tend to rub off onto those who watch it.
Fox is a corrupting influence on our society.

The Teabagger Republicans have made it alright for otherwise politically correct people to scream out loud, everything that they used to hide, or, at least couch in more acceptable language.

And, they've found out that most stupid voters are all too willing to believe lies about things and people whom they already dislike, than to do a little research, and discover the truth.

BTW, a recent poll shows that a LOT of voters (especially Independents) are having "buyers remorse" over electing so many Republicans to Congress. Look for a big swing back to the Democrats in 2012.
