Depends on what you use your phone for. And what you expect out of it. The iphone is nice. It's got a really good selection of apps, tons of accessories, and the user experience is pretty consistent. So if you already own a Mac or i-whatever, the obvious choice is to get an iphone. Otherwise, you will really hate using an Android phone.
Me personally, I didn't get an iphone for two main reasons..
- I hate itunes. I don't need a bloated piece of software to manage the contents of my phone. If Apple ever releases a version of the iphone that doesn't require itunes, I'll consider getting one.
- I use Google's services a lot.. mail, search, maps, talk, voice, etc. Naturally Android phones offer better integration with Google's services. So it was an obvious choice for me.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S. Best phone I've owned so far. Unlocked, and unbranded. So it's untainted by carrier bloatware and lock-downs. HTC makes decent phones too. Their quality has improved big time over the years.
But yeah, no shame in getting an iphone. Who cares if everyone has one? If it fits your needs, then get one.
