I actually just completed my bucket list (at the end of last year) and placed a map of it on my profile.

    LIFE CHANGING
Antarctica was definitely the most life-changing experience for me, largely due to how natural everything is. For instance, we almost had a leopard seal eat the back of our zodiac, all the way to seeing a fur seal eat penguin like no tomorrow, to the natural beauty of the icebergs

    CULTURAL
Laos and Swaziland are pretty much tied for me.

    EXTREME
Australia, but more South Island, New Zealand . And maybe, Zambia/Zimbabwe border, for bungee-jumping

There's more, but I don't want to bore people...

Bora Bora is the bomb! That's actually where my profile picture was taken. A truly magical place.

You know, even before I read your response I was looking at your profile and I was thinking exactly the same thing! How funny is that. Did you stay at one of those over-water bungalows? I really would like to try that. And just have access to the lagoon of crystal aquamarine sea water? I am getting really excited just thinking about it!!

I stayed at the Sofitel Bora Bora Motu. It's a private island with over-the-water bungalows. It's very secluded, even by Bora Bora standards, as you get this whole little island for just a few bungalows. When I was there, a fish had put all her eggs on the ladder connected to the bungalow. I was able to watch beautiful, striped fish being born throughout the week and see how the mother would swallow them up in her mouth if they got too far away, only to spit them out at the appropriate place.

The hotel has a boat that will pick you up from the airport (which is on its own small island) and take you there. Also, whenever you need to go to the mainland, the boat will be there to take you over. It's the best of both worlds. When you want total seclusion, you stay on your island. When you want a little more entertainment, just take the boat over. I highly recommend it!

Wow that sounds really amazing. The fish story i mean. I need to see that. Did you happen to go to Moorea or Tahiti as well? I thought if you're gonna take such as a long flight...maybe you should see all the FP has to offer icon_smile.gif. I heard from people that you never know that the water can look so pristine and clear, like that shade of blue is unreal. I can't wait!

I dunno... I'm starting to become disillusioned with famous exotic destinations. When you get there, you find either:
    A. Starbucks, KFC, long lines for the ticket queue or
    B. IEDs, flying bullets, beheadings
