Just curious if there are any other guys heading to the Aspen Gay ski week (Jan 14-21 www.gayskiweek.com/2007/ ). There's about 24 of us Boston boarders/skiers heading out there. Looking forward to seeing actual snow compared to the mild Northeast winter that we're having so far.

Hey Paul, wow great turnout from Boston for this year! I know at least four of us from Austin are coming up January 17 - 21. Where are you guys staying? Be fun to hook up and ride with ya'll.

Our Boston group is called the OutRyders. We're all staying at the Sky Hotel for the full week. I'm planning on boarding Mon-Sat except for Wednesday which I'm going to relax. I'm also planning on going to the opening reception, boutique walk, comedy night, costume party and the pool party.

Curt, glad to see you going! Let's see if we can meet up at the boutique walk on Wednesday night.

    Anyone else out there going??

Don't forget that Gaywhistler is happening Feb. 4 to 11 in Whistler BC, Canada.

Well, I'm recovering from the Aspen ski week. Overall, it was a fantastic week (although the trip was pretty damn expensive). Here are some overall comments:

The aspen airport cancels flights all the time. Have a complete backup plan such as looking up alternate flights to/from Grand Junction or Vail. Make a rental car reservation from these cities in advance. (You can cancel them if do actually fly into Aspen.) Have alternate hotel numbers in these connecting city. We were totally screwed arriving and departing.

The mountains (Aspen, Highlands, SnowMass) are fantastic. The views from Highlands are incredible.

Stay at the Sky Hotel if you can afford it. It's ground zero for the week. The one apres ski here was completely packed.

There were a lot of hot guys there from all over place although I wish there were a little less attitude.

The best events were Kemosabe Boutique night, comedy night, the costume party and the amazing/surreal pool party which just has to be experienced to be believed.

Overall a great week but flying there is more challenging than you think.
