A really good friend arranged for me to have a membership at Gold's Gym in Hollywood for a month, which was incredibly nice of him. And then the one time I go without him, he accuses me of using the membership to go hook up and cruise -- that I have humiliated him and angered him to no end, and that we are not friends anymore. I'm so hurt... not only are all those accusations not true, but I also had no idea until that moment that I just got taken emotionally hostage and didn't even see it coming! I don't know who's the bigger dummy.

So back to P90X at home and to Tony Horton's stupid jokes.

Sorry guys, I just needed to vent.

without more detail, it sounds like he may have been hoping for more from you. (as in, romantically)

Agree with bambino. If he's a really good friend I'd let it cool for a couple of days and then talk turkey with him. What he wants from you? Why he flipped out on you like that? etc. Then see if this friendship can be salvaged.

What? Screw that! Keep going to the gym- but not to hook-up or go into the sauna- Everyone in Los Angeles know what goes on in Gold's Hollywood.

If something truly is a gift, then the giver has no rights or ownership over how the receiver uses the gift and what he does with it.
Your friend didn't give you a gift, you got a leash.

Bambino and bhp are right on the money with the advice.
A1EX is pretty accurate about the Gold's Hollywood-- closet cases and wanna-be actors.

That's one sick friend. Maybe he was hoping for something to go from spotting him on the bench and then to a date and more.

How would he know you cruised? Was he watching you?icon_eek.gif
