    mine is zimatar...

anyone who has the cujones to be as fierce as he is in an islamic country has my vote HANDS DOWN. he has an incredible sense of humor, he makes me feel better on the days i need it most, he loves to dance (the fact that he likes janet jackson just adds to his wonder), and his energy pours forth from his profile.

if i were to ever meet him in person i know we'd be dangerous together - you simply cannot have two people be that fuckin' fabulous together at the same time and a black hole not erupt and suck all the hair product and nylons out of existance.

bitch, you're my hero. now, fry some chicken and get the rollerskates ready...

    xoxo

    ps
i have other heroes here too, and i'll post about them later; however, i wanted to give first props to the amazing person who inpsired me to create this thread

Zimatar is one of my favourites. I also appreciate Caslon, McGay, MunchingZombie, Chewey_Delt, MikePhil, reallifedad, Trance23, Moudi, zdrew78, timberoo, dancerjack, Tigertim, ggeo17, ShawnTO and a few others I cannot remember.

I like hearing divergent opinions, being an insatiably curious person who gets mentally bored easily.

My tops: Rocco and ObsceneWish. Rocco's the most creative person that I know of on this site and is sooo fab-uh-lus. ObsceneWish, a lot of people either like him or leave him, I like him because he's been helpful with some of the weight training that I've been doing.

    So, kudos!

Hero is definitely too strong of a word, but there are definitely some I've come to admire for one reason or another.

I think Kharlo's transformation that he posted about recently is amazing and one of the most inspiring things I've ever seen.

There are many people on here whose intelligence impresses me. Among these are DiverScience, Zdrew78, and Swimbikerun.

I'm also impressed at the maturity shown by some of the young guys here. I had a long chat with urbanappeal the other day and was surprised to realize he's only 18.

Other guys just impress me for living the life they want (gigman living in Panama!) or for always giving good advice (jbedwards). Some for their sense of humor (Moudi, RBY71). Some for being in the incredible physical shape they're in at their - ahem - advanced age.

    Awww, McGay......you're so sweet....

There's a friend of mine that is recently a hero to me, but he's not on this site. I met him online, and he's from Detroit (can't say his name since he's not on this site), and when he started working out, he was about 210 but he's 6'7'', so he was pretty slender. He worked his ass off for eight months, and he put on some solid muscle and quality pounds and is now almost 260! I'm so proud of my friend in Detroit, and can't get over how quickly he was able to change his physique.

There are many, many people I enjoy and appreciate around here (StripperRocco is RIGHT at the tip-top of that list!), but if I had to narrow it down to one 'hero'...I think that would be jprichva. He's a great, down-to-earth guy who calls things for what they are, but never takes the small things too seriously. He's led an interesting and rich life, and is intelligent and both witty and funny (yes, there's a difference). Hell, I can't explain it all...I just think he's downright awesome, I admire the hell out of him, and if I turn out half as cool as him when I get all grown up, I'll consider myself lucky.

Now, if only he'd send me my damn cookies.

I think this in an intriguing thread, but kind of difficult because of trying to group people, not wanting to leave anyone out (which really is pretty rough).. and the reasoning behind.

I think for me there are a couple of heros: First and foremost, those that form the "Goodguys club", those that have been friendly to me, no agenda, always positive and have nothing but good thoughts.. those include Matt45710, RJSportsguy, MikeonMain, MikePhil, MikeCo, Creyente, Zim and Solidguy. I also have to mention "Ash557" in this list. He was so very nice and I'm sorry that he is not on this site currently.

I realize this is all based on my perception, but they represent the kind of guys I'd want as friends.. loyal, friendly, etc.

The second group consists of those who because of their life experiences, you can't help but hold them in high esteem....

Caslon ranks.. anyone here can learn from his cancer recovery, his attitude and experience. Here's to you David....icon_biggrin.gif

Finally there are those that I find intriguing based on how they live their lives. I have respect and hold in high esteem based on their achievements.

    Jockbod48, PAMedic are examples......

Buddy reminded me that he wanted to include a couple of heros.... Zdrew was really nice, ShawnTO, Luckydog76, Eric LA and DJBens77

I really don't post alot on here, but I read most of the threads.

I'd say probably Rocco too, since he's unique, and expressive and stands for a good cause. All of the othe people who post alot, like caslon, mcgay, Chic gymgeek etc... they speak their minds and that's always an admirable trait

    Dear Dancerjack,
"You love me... you really love me... you really, really love me!" icon_lol.gif
I seldom am showing a serious side. Now, I think it is called for. Wait, I am feeling a bit dizzy now and holding my tears ain't helping either. I know I haven't been e-mailing you lately as I owe you lots to tell of epic proportions. You are not just my hero, but my ROLE MODEL as well.
Reading about your struggles in LA when you were 22 made me admire you more. To be backed up with incredible academic credentials and yet following your ultimate dream of becoming a Janet Jackson in your own right is how I would define BLISSFUL SUCCESS. You've clearly earned that.
I have lived here in Dubai in the last 7 years without leaving it (due to lots of obligations) and boy, my share of the joys and the pains just race against each other, and I thought I'm not gonna wait for tomorrow to enjoy my life being myself: A GAY MAN. Neither will I allow to be wrapped in fear and deprive myself of enjoying the prime of my youth. So here I am, pushing the envelope the furthest I can with a FUCK 'EM ATTITUDE!!!
Funny, I was just telling a 'facebook friend' earlier that the reason I find it difficult to leave Dubai as much as I hate this place with its ridiculous laws, policies and overall culture (or lack thereof) is because of the friendships I have made with the citizens of the world (think United Colors of Benetton!) whose adventurous spirits I find so amazing. These are very young people in their early 20s who brave themselves leaving their respective home countries to work and live in the concrete jungle in the middle of a desert.
And having you and the rest of the gang here on a virtual status as "buddies on RJ" give me a sense of balance and more helpful and inspiring input of how to live in guided honesty.
For that, I thank you. I just messaged one RJ member here that my secret to living and 'staying young' is making sure that I look after not just my inner, but outer child as well... then once in a while take the time to reflect if the man that you've become is someone you as a child would look up to.
    Now that's telling.
Thank you, Dancerjack. You are one very amazing man that I look up to. I hope we'll meet in this lifetime, until then, let's just keep dancing: BOOM BOOM BOOM UNTIL NOON NOON NOON.
    I love you.
    Yours always,
    oDILoN xxx

I have already been on RJ for several months but it wasn't until a couple of weeks ago that I "discovered" the forums and it was like... EUREKA!

I've been positively surprised with this community and I can only look forward to more discussion, arguments and enriching posts, as well as superficial ones.

I don't have a hero yet but... You guys rock!

PSBigJoey left RJ (his profile is gone). This really bummed me out since he gave me some really great tips to improve my workout, and I've had a complete transformation since he did.

To Kozmeka & Drakutis - how come I haven't been invited to play some Super Smash Bros Brawl???

IF you wanna see those that I admire, respect, and look up to, then look to my buddy and hot lists. I will say that outa all of them, the one's I admire the most are the ones who take the time to talk back to me, to carry on a conversation even if it is random or pointless and foolish lol. Any who have taken some time to get to know me and let me know more about them, that is who I admire.

Lots of amazing guys on this site. But lilmaninsc strikes me as someone every gay guy under 25 could learn from. He may not be stacked, but in many ways he is one of the strongest guys on this site and has a hell of a great attitude. Seems like his brightest days are ahead and at this point he could conquer anything he wants.

I agree 100%, a man who has overcome a lot and seems to have his life going in the right direction. That is not something that is easy to do, just read the newspaper on any given day.

I feel all warm and fuzzy inside! *HUG*

And I find most people on here to be pretty inspiring. A lot of times I see sites like this and it's nothing but "bodies," but I love these forums because I find that people here aren't just about how they look, it's about their passions and most members here are pretty intelligent. I love it.

In no particular order, they are:

--> Chizzad: a good friend with whom I am often on the same wavelength... he also has a physique that inspires me to work harder
--> MikeOnMain: a cyber-lifting buddy for a while who definitely kept my honest and active
--> StripperRocco: his is a story of hard work (physical, mental and spiritual) that yields real dividends
--> McGay: who reminds me that life is too damn short to take it all too seriously
--> princeofzen: both physically and intellectually, the guy is a role model for me... even though I am about a foot taller icon_razz.gif
--> Caslon: does this one really need explaining?
--> JUptown: is my first Japanese pupil... and he's doing very well. ;-)

I would have to say there are a few people who really make me laugh which is something I value very highly and they are: Zimatar, McGay, RBY71, Caslon, Squarejaw and jprivia

Then there are those that really challenge me to think about life: Obscenewish, jbedwards, ShawnTO, mnjock2003, imperator, chewey_delt, ursamajor and dancerjack.

Then there are those that are just really sweet guys whose posts make me have faith in the good in people: Zdrew, StripperRocco, HndsmKansan, innerathelete, Sahem62896, SoDakGuy, DJBens, NNJfitandbi and a1972guy.

Of all the guys I've chatted with I do think lilmaninsc is an extraordinary individual who is overcoming some really difficult challenges to become a well rounded individual with a great life ahead of him.

These are just a few of the people that stood out to me but there are so many more that make me glad to be part of the RJ community.
