So I just finished the 10k Vancouver Sun Run. I've never been so happy with myself! A year ago, I would have never imagined that I could accomplish something like that.

I had to share this ... haha. icon_biggrin.gif

    ^^This^^
I did a 12k last May, then three half marathons before the end of the year...and I used to HATE running. I'm working my way up to a full marathon now! It is a definite addiction.

One of the most awesome things (other than the endorphin high) is that when you train up for other events, what used to be an achievement becomes "normal;" it is definite proof of your body getting stronger and faster!

Enjoy the accomplishment and the thought of many more to come!

Running is such an incredible activity/sport. I, too, used to HATE running. I'd always be the last kid in P.E. and I could not even run straight for 5 min. However that changed when I literally forced myself to join high school cross country so I can lose weight. End result: shed about 60 lbs. and I can now run 10K+. I just did a 90 min. run today which was about 11.1 miles.

Running is hard, discouraging at times but if you stick with it, you'll get amazing results and it's very rewarding. I run for life. I'm so glad I joined my high school cross country.

Love running but not much into doing the group things like that so have to give you props. When running in groups i get too competitive and always have to pass the person in front of me so wear myself out quick... But get me alone in a forest and i can go for what feels like forever and not be windedicon_wink.gif
