I would like to gain about 10-15 pounds of lean muscle over the next 6 months, a goal that seems tough but not unreasonable to me. I have a very good nutrition plan going, and eat very clean. Also feel like my workouts are quite good. My problem is that I need to add about 800-1,000 clean calories a day to my intake. Has anybody tried Optimum Nutrition's Serious Mass as a gainer supplement?

Come here, get naked, and hold a 15 lb dumbbell while we play. Then you can be 15lbs heavier. icon_biggrin.gif

I'll bet that's also great for my biceps.

A while back, I was going to try it, just to get some extra calories in my diet. But then I read the ingredients and decided to pass.

I'd like to know why. Looking at your photos, I can pretty much guess... but if you know something I don't, I'd like to hear. Look at my photos... I obviously need to be taking in more calories.

I wonder why it's so much more expensive than the Serious Mass for the same serving size. What didn't you like about it? Can you be more specific? Taste? effectiveness?

It's not the same serving size. Look:

Pro Complex Gainer - Serving Size1 Heaping Scoop(165g): 60grams of protein and 650 calories.

Serious Mass - Serving Size2 Heaping Scoops(334g): 50 grams of protein and 1250 calories.

The ratio is less then a half.

I found really bad to drink and it tastes horrible :s
I couldn't get weight cause I actually couldn't drink it...!

Sometimes I get really good deals on Pro Complex Gainer on this website: http://www.fitrx.com/fitrx/default.asp

Thanks, man. Very helpful. I'll have to look closer at both of them. Taste is pretty important to me, too.

Yep, it would make them flex up nice and tight while I grope them. icon_biggrin.gif
