I am sure there have been a thousand posts regarding this topic, but I have never come across them so I need to start one.

I normally do a full body workout 3 times a week. It has got me some good results. But now I am ready to switch up my workout so I don't plateau. I as thinking of breaking down my 3 times a week and concentrating on muscle groups with different exercises. It would be a good way to mix things up.

However, I am afraid that if only concentrate on a group once a week I will not see results like I have been now.

Any ideas what I should? I appreciate it!!

    Thank you!

Variation is good, but always keep structural (multi-muscle group) exercises in your routines.

Muscle confusion is a great idea, and it's worked for me lately.

This schedule puts muscle groups together in ways that work, it comes from the P90X plan... even if you don't follow that specific plan, the muscle groupings seem to be very effective. It assumes three resistance days per week:

    Chest and back.
    Arms and shoulders.
    Legs and back.

    Chest, shoulders and triceps.
    Back and biceps.
    Legs and back.

Alternate weeks back and forth. Yea I know, lots of legs and back.

    Just a thought for ya.
