Spread the hate, do the damage, and then apologize. Isn't this like the third or fourth story recently of someone that fought against gay rights apologizing after the fact?

    I wonder what's going on...

I'm hoping that they're realizing we've been fighting for civil marriage, instead of holy marriage, and that they have no reason to oppose us. I'm also hoping that, as more apologize and explain, it'll cause a chain reaction of at least semi-acceptance across the country.

    That'd be nice, wouldn't it?

    I'll keep on dreaming.

Yeah right, pollute the airwaves with all kinds of extremist right wing propaganda in opposition to marital equality and than realize after the fact that you are dead wrong. Some of these extremist religious right wingers never cease to amaze me. The sad thing is that the damage was done because a small majority of Maine voters bought into the baseless bullshit.

All I can say is that I have ZERO respect for all those assholes who while in power were against any gay rights, now they try to redeem them self, that includes the wifes of leaders, most recent being Laura Bush. If she believed in equality then she should of spoken when she had the voice and the power, now no one gives a flying crap.

Lets just hope that there is another referendum on gay marriage in Maine and this time the anti gay marriage idiots get out voted and embarrassed at the polls.
