I'm not sure whether this has ever been talked about, but it just goes to show that not all hate crimes are "bad" in every way. This courageous, young woman has taken her "hate crime" and turned it into a positive. Here is a link to the web page. She is speaking at my school tonight.

i interviewed her for my newspaper back in like august of 2007 or something like that. she was passing through nc/sc/ga/fl at the time. very courageous woman. she's dealing with alot of personal drama lately - the girlfriend's parents found out about the lesbian affair and now she's all but homeless after leaving nyc to live with her gf in fl. i don't know how she's supporting herself or staying on the road, but i do know that vw is sponsoring a documentary about her expereince. she has a myspace profile for fagbug as well. it includes a lengthy blog.

i think it will - she would walk up to people and ask for their reactions to the graffiti on her car, and their responses are very telling. plus there's the convos she'd have with people in coffee shops, etc.

    i'm looking forward to it!

Thanks for the information, Dancerjack. I will get to have a chance to sit down with her later and maybe have dinner.
