I'm a huge Marvin Gaye fan. My favorite from him would have to be 'Got to Give It Up" That song can get me groovin' in no time icon_razz.gificon_biggrin.gif

I love the song Lowrider, is that Motown? I like the Motown girl groups mostly and I get into James brown a bit but he's more funk isn't he?

I'd say What Becomes of The Broken Hearted by The Four Tops.

Please discontinue this thread. There are four replies of seven with inaccurate information. Motown is not a wide-sweeping genre, but rather a group of artists who recorded for the legendary label in the 60s and 70s. The sound was distinctive in that one could immediately recognize a Motown song when it came on the old AM radio. The bottom line is that Motown is not a catch bucket for all 60s and 70s R&B.

Everybody Gets To Go To The Moon - Three Degrees (okay, not strictly Motown, but of that genre)
