I'm a 34 and that's pretty much as small as I can get. I'm built like a footy player, broad shoulders, broad waist.

Ideal waist size for a guy I'm interested in? smaller then mine haha

i'd say 31/32, but it really depends on the build/height of a guy-- i think up to 34-36 is can be fine-- it just depends on the build.

I'm a 29" in some designers, and a 30"" in others. I've learned that it is very difficult to buy, let alone find, anything less than a 30" off the rack. Most designers only go as low as 30".

Very hard to get anything if you're 30 or below

If your waist is 30 or less, they treat you like some kind of freak, which is why I hate shopping for clothes

That said, I once got a gorgeous $190 pair of pants, marked down 90% to $19 because it was a 30 waist and they couldn't sell it....so they were just trying to get rid of it

I just had to buy new clothes this week...finally down to 30.
So, since that's my waist size, I'll say it's perfect just for the hell of it. icon_razz.gif

Totally subjective on a whole plethora of factors. A pasty, doughy person who's never exercised a day in their lives can have the exact waist size as a ripped guy who's nothing but solid muscle.

That being said, the consensus is somewhere between 30-34, with 28 and 36 also being considered depending on the height and proportion.

I am 6'0" and with the overall build I have had most of my adult life, I am suppose to have a 34inch waist. Sedintariness and tooth issues and a bunch of unhealthy, junk food filled years later, I ballooned up to a 38" waist. Since joining this site, I have gone up & down due to not handling stressful situations and gotten into comfort food eating since I quit smoking six months ago, but finally have gotten into a routine. My goal is to get it at the 33-34 mark before I move. That is where my body feel most comfortable and I can just pull clothes off the rack with my 32 inch inseam. sorry for the pontification of just a simple question. LOL

I have a 31" waist, same as when I was in college...and I'm now in my 50's. Am I proud of that, you bet. Although I have to admit it is mostly due to genes and a very high metabolism. My chest is now 40-42", depending on my work out program. When I was younger, I had more of an upper body pump. Ah well, can't have everything.

For another guy, depends totally on the rest of the package.

actual is 28" but wear 30" and tighten up the belt -- the crotch on 28" is way too tight
