Allright so this one took way to long for me to put up, but alas with work and school I didnt have that much time.

So on Monday I went with my taiko group to go see the show. Shidara is a famous taiko group from japan that is currently doing their 2008 US tour.

Taiko, btw, is the art of Japanese drumming. It was used in celebrations and in wartime as well to convey orders over large distances. At least thats what my old teacher said.

Anyway, they were AMAZING! they really made me want to get myself up to their level. I've been playing for 12 years, but they were an entirely different level!

They are on their tour right now so if you happen to be on the west coast they will hitting Los Angeles, Tuscon, Moab, Chico, Santa Rosa, and they just did Sacramento.

If you like taiko, I definatly suggest you check them out!

On another note, has anyone ever played taiko before? Be nice to find fellow players, ya know?

Oh yeah. I saw a performance on TV once. It was awesome. Really heartpounding stuff.
